Melissa Castillo

Melissa Castillo is currently a Licensed Master Social Worker with the state of New Mexico. Melissa joined the United States Army immediately out of High School where she served for 8 years on active duty. Melissa obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice throughout this time. Melissa graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in 2020 with her Master’s Degree in Social Work.

Melissa has been working at Icarus Recovery Center since 2023 and thoroughly enjoys working with and helping people in need. Melissa tries to teach the importance of mental health and addiction issues in everyday life and tries to focus on getting rid of the stigmas associated around these in society. Melissa is devoted to her family and spends her free time gardening, raising animals of all types, and enjoys catching up on new movies and TV series.
