Who is Eligible for NMMIP?
If you live in New Mexico and have a permanent mailing address, you may qualify for NMMIP. This includes individuals who moved to New Mexico recently. Examples of those who likely qualify for NMMIP include but aren’t limited to the following.

- Those who have recently lost insurance coverage or will lose coverage soon.

How to Apply for New Mexico Medical Insurance Pool
If you meet the criteria for NMMIP, complete the mail-in application under the “Eligibility and Coverage – Applications” tab on the NMMIP website, found here: https://www.nmmip.org/eligibility-and-coverage/applications/.

Medical detox programs often last for 1-2 weeks or less. Medication, monitoring of vital signs, nutrition, hydration, and so on are all things that may be provided in a medical detox program to help you achieve physical stability.

Inpatient rehab is very expensive without insurance. Any form of inpatient treatment can cost thousands of dollars per week, let alone the month or longer (30-90 days on average) that most people need to stay for effective treatment.
